Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by arranging equipment and supplies.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and sterile supplies.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments to maintain accurate records.
- Ensure operating environments are clean and sterile.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team.
- Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing areas.
- Transport patients to and from the operating suite with care.
Qualifications
- Current Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical center setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
