Responsibilities
- Perform patient intakes, obtain vital signs, and update medical records accurately and efficiently.
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and manage inventory of medical supplies.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician and within scope of practice.
- Coordinate patient referrals, schedule follow-up appointments, and facilitate laboratory tests.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations and hospital policies.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) required.
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Flexibility to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays as required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
