Responsibilities
- Provide Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with the utmost respect and dignity.
- Monitor Health: Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, reporting any abnormalities to nursing staff.
- Assist with Mobility: Help patients move safely from beds to wheelchairs or assist with walking, ensuring safety and proper body mechanics.
- Meal Assistance: Serve nutritious meals and assist residents with feeding, ensuring they stay hydrated and well-nourished.
- Medication Reminders: Prompt residents to take their medication at scheduled times.
- Emotional Support: Build rapport with patients by providing companionship and listening to their needs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of patient care activities.
Qualifications
- CNA Certification: Must hold a valid and current Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Arizona.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform physical tasks required for patient care.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Compassion: Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
