Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist the nursing staff with medical procedures, wound care, and specimen collection.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and care plans.
- Document patient care activities and report any changes in a patient's condition immediately.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning of patients safely.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Calm demeanor and ability to work well under pressure.
