Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Mobility: Help patients move safely using walkers, wheelchairs, or hoyer lifts to prevent falls and injuries.
- Communication: Act as a key communicator between patients, families, and the nursing staff to report changes in patient condition or needs.
- Maintain Hygiene: Ensure patients remain clean, comfortable, and well-groomed throughout their shift.
- Document Care: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and care logs as required by facility protocols.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient calls and assist in emergency situations following established safety protocols.
Qualifications
- CNA Certification: Current state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (or eligibility for certification through our training program).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Compassion & Patience: A genuine passion for helping others and the patience to work with patients of varying needs.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
