Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring and positioning them safely.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and light meal preparation.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care plans and progress.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
