Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and using assistive devices safely.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the Charge Nurse or Registered Nurse immediately.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Minnesota.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient dignity and comfort.
