Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations.
- Assist registered nurses and physicians with medical procedures, wound care, and specimen collection as directed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all patients and visitors.
- Document patient care activities and observations accurately and promptly in medical records.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to patient needs and emergent situations.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital setting.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a detail-oriented approach to patient care.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
