Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper lifting techniques.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team, physicians, and family members.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (valid in Illinois).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
