Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for treatments and assist dentists during complex procedures
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
- Manage sterilization protocols and maintain clinical inventory
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Oversee digital charting and practice management software
- Coordinate scheduling and ensure seamless clinic operations
- Assist in emergency dental procedures with calm professionalism
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or CDA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Pennsylvania state radiology certification
- Mastery of digital imaging systems (DEXIS, Carestream)
- Excellent interpersonal skills for patient comfort
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
