Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and endodontic treatments
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs with precision
- Prepare sterile instruments and treatment rooms following OSHA protocols
- Manage patient flow and maintain accurate digital records using Dentrix software
- Provide chairside support and patient education on oral hygiene
- Oversee inventory control and ordering of dental supplies
- Coordinate with lab technicians for prosthetic cases
- Assist in emergency dental procedures with calm professionalism
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant certification or equivalent experience
- Active Washington State Dental Assistant license
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and infection control
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to maintain composure in fast-paced emergency situations
