Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontics
- Perform chairside duties: instrument transfer, suction control, and patient comfort management
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral photos
- Manage sterilization protocols and maintain infection control standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for optimal efficiency
- Execute digital charting and manage patient records using Eaglesoft software
- Delicate patient education on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
Qualifications
- Active Colorado Dental Assistant certification and DANB/RDA credential
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays) and sterilization protocols
- Experience with Eaglesoft practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong attention to detail and HIPAA compliance knowledge
