Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and patient comfort
- Manage patient scheduling, billing inquiries, and digital record maintenance
- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures and emergency care
- Delve patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification or RDA license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a general or specialty practice
- Proficiency in digital imaging (Dexis/Sirona) and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification and X-ray safety training
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and infection control compliance
- Spanish language proficiency preferred
