Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Manage digital radiography systems (X-rays, CBCT) and adhere to strict infection control protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain optimal inventory levels
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Assist with front desk operations including scheduling, insurance verification, and patient communications
- Maintain accurate patient records using practice management software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- Coordinate with dental labs for prosthetic orders and case tracking
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant License (RDA or CDA preferred)
- X-ray certification with active license
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital imaging and practice management software
- Excellent communication skills with ability to calm anxious patients
- CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Commitment to continuing education in dental advancements
