Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside duties: instrument transfer, suction control, and patient monitoring
- Manage sterilization protocols and maintain OSHA-compliant infection control
- Capture diagnostic X-rays and process digital imaging
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for optimal efficiency
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and patient flow coordination
Qualifications
- Active Missouri Dental Assistant certification required
- 2+ years of clinical dental assisting experience
- CPR certification and radiography proficiency
- Strong knowledge of dental software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft preferred)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in high-volume practice setting
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- Positive attitude and commitment to patient comfort
