Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies
- Review EOBs and resolve claim denials efficiently
- Utilize provided billing software and equipment for daily operations
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding billing inquiries
- Maintain detailed patient records and billing documentation
- Collaborate with coding and clinical teams for seamless operations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience required
- Certification in medical coding (CPC or CCS) preferred
- Proficiency with medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience with electronic health records systems
