Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks and maintain clean client environments
- Monitor vital signs and report health changes to supervising RN
- Administer prescribed medications under professional guidance
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Document care activities accurately in electronic health records
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance client wellbeing
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience required
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Valid Maryland driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Physical stamina to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills and empathy-driven approach
- High school diploma or equivalent (CNA certification preferred)
- Reliable transportation with current auto insurance
