Responsibilities
- Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
- Assistance: Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage patient records, schedule appointments, and handle billing inquiries efficiently.
- Medication Administration: Prepare and administer medications as directed by licensed providers.
- Lab Work: Perform basic lab tests, phlebotomy, and EKG procedures with precision.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the medical team to ensure continuity of care.
- Hygiene Maintenance: Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized examination room environment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CNA) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Licensure: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications are required.
- Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and computer proficiency.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is a plus.
