Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and record patient history.
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
- Manage patient intake, including insurance verification and paperwork.
- Coordinate appointments and schedule follow-up visits.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA safety regulations.
- Administer medications or injections as directed by the physician.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and staff.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient privacy and safety.
