Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure a clean, safe environment for patients.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information accurately.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic lab tests, administer injections, and prepare patients for diagnostic imaging.
- Manage patient flow efficiently to minimize wait times and enhance the patient experience.
- Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR) with precise documentation.
- Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and post-care instructions.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.).
- Valid California driver's license and clean driving record (if applicable for facility transport).
