Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims and manage billing transactions
- Prepare IV medications and sterile compounds
- Maintain precise inventory control and ordering systems
- Provide exceptional patient consultations and medication counseling
- Ensure strict compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and pharmacy regulations
- Train and mentor new pharmacy technicians
Qualifications
- Active New Mexico Pharmacy Technician license required
- PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (QS1, Omnicell)
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume environments
- Basic compounding knowledge preferred
