Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and tracking controlled substances
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and regulatory documentation
- Operate pharmacy software (e.g., QS/1, Rx30) and automated dispensing systems
Qualifications
- Current California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy technology systems and medical terminology
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
