Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications with 99.9% precision using automated dispensing systems
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage through integrated EHR systems
- Manage medication inventory with real-time tracking and automated reordering protocols
- Provide medication counseling and health education to diverse patient populations
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical interventions and medication therapy management
- Maintain compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and California Board of Pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (QS1, Omnicell, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of medication safety protocols and sterile compounding
- Exceptional communication skills with multilingual abilities a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume environments with minimal errors
- CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
