Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient medication records
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage
- Ensure compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and FDA regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for seamless patient care
- Operate pharmacy software systems (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
Qualifications
- Active PTCB certification or state license as Pharmacy Technician
- Minimum 1 year hospital or retail pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in prescription processing and compounding
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and math
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Background check and drug screen clearance required
