Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation of pharmaceutical products
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records with HIPAA compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve medication inquiries
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspaces
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell) for dispensing and record-keeping
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficient in prescription processing and pharmacy software systems
- Strong attention to detail with accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Background check and TB clearance required
