Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Process and label specimens according to laboratory protocols
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control standards
- Verify patient identity and documentation requirements
- Operate automated blood collection systems
- Collaborate with clinical staff for specimen handling priorities
- Document procedures using electronic health records systems
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP/NCCT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Valid Nevada phlebotomy license
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in specimen processing and handling
- Strong communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of OSHA and CLIA regulations
