Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care across diverse medical units including ICU, ER, and oncology
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and maintain accurate medical records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment protocols
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process optimization
- Supervise LVNs and nursing assistants while ensuring team cohesion
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kentucky (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree or equivalent nursing diploma
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in acute care settings
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required) with TNCC preferred
- Strong critical thinking skills and emergency response capabilities
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent communication skills and cultural competency
