Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations with instrument passing and wound exposure
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and OR safety protocols
- Operate advanced surgical equipment (e.g., endoscopic cameras, robotic systems)
- Manage inventory and sterilization of surgical instruments
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST/TS-C) required
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years recent OR experience
- Expertise in orthopedic/general surgical procedures
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing standards
- Ability to adapt quickly to emergency surgeries
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work nights/weekends on-call rotations
