Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce aseptic techniques
- Count surgical instruments and supplies pre/post-procedure
- Operate surgical equipment (e.g., endoscopic cameras, sterilizers)
- Document procedural activities in electronic health records
- Manage inventory and restock surgical supplies
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year recent surgical tech experience
- Proficiency in sterile processing and sterilization methods
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment
- BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced surgical environments
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and on-call shifts
