Responsibilities
- Patient Hygiene: Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient health metrics such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse regularly.
- Assistance with Mobility: Help patients move safely between beds, wheelchairs, and walkers to prevent falls.
- Meal Assistance: Serve and assist residents with eating to ensure proper nutrition and hydration.
- Medication Support: Administer medication as prescribed and document intake accurately.
- Emotional Support: Build rapport with residents and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Certification: Active and current Massachusetts CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license.
- Experience: Previous experience in long-term care or home health is preferred but not required.
- Training: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, and pull residents weighing up to 250 lbs.
