Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure daily living needs are met.
- Monitor vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any significant changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with meal times, feeding, and medication reminders as specifically directed by licensed nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by adhering to strict infection control and sanitation protocols.
- Accurately document patient care activities and observations in electronic health records (EHR) in a timely manner.
- Foster a positive and supportive relationship with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Perform light housekeeping duties related to patient care, such as making beds and tidying patient rooms.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Oklahoma.
- Valid CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to empathize with patients.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods as required.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
