Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming with dignity and respect.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents and their families.
- Administer prescribed medications and document administration in electronic health records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all residents.
- Communicate any changes in a resident's condition to the Charge Nurse immediately.
- Participate in team meetings and care planning activities.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Texas State CNA License.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday & Sunday) as required.
