Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and patients' families regarding care plans.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and emergencies within the scope of practice.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California CNA License (required).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Basic Arrhythmia (preferred).
- Previous experience in a long-term care, hospital, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be available to work alternating weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday).
