Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to the nursing staff.
- Assist with range-of-motion exercises and mobility support for patients with limited mobility.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all residents and patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing personnel.
Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Kansas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Previous experience in long-term care or acute care settings is preferred but not mandatory for qualified applicants.
- Strong compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
