Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients assigned to the weekend shift.
- Medication Management: Accurately administer medications and treatments while strictly adhering to safety protocols and hospital policies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient emergencies and critical situations during the weekend hours.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality assurance initiatives and staff meetings to improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Minnesota.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required; Pediatric Life Support (PALS) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, with weekend shift experience a plus.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency with electronic health record systems.
- Personal Qualities: Compassionate demeanor, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
