Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in emergency and critical care units during weekend shifts
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures with precision and compassion
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient vital signs and document electronic health records accurately
- Respond to critical situations using advanced nursing assessment skills
- Mentor junior staff and uphold highest standards of clinical excellence
- Participate in weekend rotations covering 12-hour shifts (Sat/Sun)
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications mandatory
- Strong weekend availability and adaptability to rotating schedules
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
- Experience with Epic EMR system
- Valid DEA license for controlled substance administration
