Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and safety protocols
- Manage infection control and sterilization of instruments and equipment
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory of dental supplies
- Document patient information accurately in dental software systems
- Provide post-operative instructions and compassionate patient education
- Coordinate scheduling and maintain efficient patient flow
Qualifications
- Current Texas Dental Assistant Radiology certification (RDA) required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
- Excellent knowledge of infection control and OSHA standards
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to calm anxious patients
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CPR certification preferred
