Responsibilities
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims for accurate reimbursement
- Review EOBs to identify discrepancies and resolve billing issues
- Maintain patient accounts with precise coding and documentation
- Collaborate with providers to clarify billing information
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer guidelines
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance metrics
- Train staff on new coding updates and billing protocols
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes and payer requirements
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
