Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and pharmaceutical stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Utilize pharmacy software for order processing and documentation
- Assist with immunization administration and health screenings
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active NYS Pharmacy Technician certification
- Minimum 1 year retail pharmacy experience
- Proficient in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- CPR certification preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
