Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims and manage patient billing inquiries
- Maintain inventory levels and order pharmaceutical supplies
- Perform quality control checks and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Operate pharmacy software and automated dispensing systems
- Train new pharmacy technicians on standard procedures
Qualifications
- Active Oregon Pharmacy Technician license
- Minimum 1 year retail pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy terminology and drug interactions
- Proficient in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Rx30)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
