Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Process and label specimens following HIPAA compliance protocols
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control standards
- Provide patient education and emotional support during procedures
- Document clinical data accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with lab staff for timely specimen processing
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Oklahoma Phlebotomy Technician certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and CLIA regulations
- Excellent venipuncture skills with minimal discomfort to patients
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- High school diploma or equivalent required
