Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs).
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary requirements.
- Light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and changing linens.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in the client's condition to the nursing supervisor.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social outings.
- Assist with medication reminders as directed by the nurse.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to perform caregiving duties and lift patients when necessary.
