Responsibilities
- Provide Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and report any side effects or missed doses to the supervising nurse.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and client preferences.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and light exercises to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for the client.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Monitor and record client health status, including weight, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, shopping, or social events as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Certification: Current state certification as a CNA, HHA, or CMA is preferred.
- Compassion: Genuine empathy and a strong desire to help others live their best lives.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and dependable with a consistent work history.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist patients up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
