Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications and monitor clients for any adverse reactions or changes in health status.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful conversations, hobbies, and recreational activities to promote mental well-being.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and personal preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, or errands as needed.
- Communication: Maintain accurate records and communicate any changes in the client's condition to the supervising nurse or family members immediately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CNA Certification or Home Health Aide certification is preferred but not required for new applicants.
- Valid Driver's License and current auto insurance.
- Excellent Communication Skills with the ability to interact compassionately with seniors and families.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Clean Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.
