Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Companionship: Provide social interaction, conversation, and emotional support to clients to reduce loneliness and improve mental well-being.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and client preferences.
- Medication Reminders: Prompt clients to take prescribed medications at the appropriate times.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and cleaning to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, grocery stores, and social events as needed.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate daily logs of client activities and health status.
Qualifications
- Compassion & Empathy: Genuine desire to help others and a patient, caring demeanor.
- Experience: Previous experience as a CNA, PCA, or Home Health Aide is preferred but not always required.
- License: Current Texas CNA or HHA certification is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record required for transportation duties.
- High School Diploma: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
