Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in conversation and activities to promote mental well-being.
- Assist with light meal preparation and ensuring clients maintain proper nutrition and hydration.
- Administer medication reminders and document care logs accurately according to medical standards.
- Assist with mobility and transfers (wheelchairs, walkers, and bed transfers) to ensure client safety.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Communicate any changes in the client's physical or emotional condition to the care coordinator immediately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
- Basic knowledge of First Aid and CPR is highly preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and families.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- CNA, CMA, or HHA certification is a plus but we welcome motivated applicants without experience.
- A genuine passion for senior care and a positive, patient demeanor.
