Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walkers to ensure safety.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document patient care and observations accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA license in the State of Nebraska.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Previous experience in a nursing home, hospital, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients up to 250 lbs.
