Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide basic bedside care and emotional support to patients and their families during their stay.
- Communicate any changes in a patient’s condition or concerns to the nursing staff and physicians immediately.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and observations.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.
- Assist with ambulation and mobility exercises to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered North Carolina Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or required upon hire.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as necessary.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
