Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Provide basic bedside care and comfort measures to patients in residential care facilities or hospitals.
- Turn, reposition, and transfer patients to prevent bedsores, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Assist with feeding patients who require help eating and maintaining proper nutrition.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status and needs.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Illinois Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license (CNA1 or CNA2).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus, but we welcome entry-level candidates with a strong passion for helping others.
