Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Observe and report any changes in a patient's physical or emotional condition to the nursing staff.
- Assist with meal planning and feeding patients with special dietary requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Transport patients to and from activities or medical appointments using wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Document care provided accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Georgia.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods (up to 50 lbs).
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
